| Our houses are located in the Départment des Alpes de Haute Provence, approximately one hour northeast of Aix-en-Provence, and 90 minutes from the airport in Marseille. |
| Lac de Sainte Croix is about 5 minutes away from Montagnac. It is a clean, clear lake with amazing vistas. There are paddleboats and sailboards for rent in the summer. |
| Provence is the land of hilltop villages, lavender fields, friendly people, and interesting food. There are markets in the villages, which rotate depending on the day of the week, and should notbe missed. We are near the Gorges du Verdon, the "Grand Canyon" of France, which offers unsurpassed hiking (some hikes are not for the faint of heart) and incredible views. The coastal towns of the Côte D'Azur are 2 hours away, and the Italian border is also approximately 2 ½ hours away. The villages of the Luberon Mountains made famous by the books of Peter Mayle are 1-1 ½ hours to the west, and are easily accessible. Montagnac is a prime location from which to tour. |
